Finger-Knit Garland

Today on one of my favorite blogs, gussysews.com, Gussy posted a super fun tutorial on how to finger knit.  I’m not even sure I’ve heard of finger knitting before, but  it sounded interesting!  I have knit with needles and made a few scarves (and still have an unfinished one).

So after reading her tutorial, I thought I’d give it a shot. The great thing is that it’s quick and easy and you don’t even have to know anything about knitting to master it.  It’s as simple as she promises….and FUN!  I’m officially addicted.

Check out Gussy’s tutorial (click here) to finger-knit garland or a necklace, get some yarn, and try this for yourself!  It’d be a great project for some left over yarn that you don’t know what to do with (yes I have some of that!)  Also, I think it’d be neat to try with some thicker yarn.

So far, I made one string of knit garland.  I stopped to write this blog post, but I’m going to make more!

Edited to add:

I just made a necklace too — with a thicker, blue yarn I have left over from a scarf I made Ryan :)
